Remember the nation-wide AT&T cell outage last month? Customers across the country found that their phones no longer had wireless service. AT&T officially blamed the outage on internal technical issues. Now some credible individuals are saying the cause behind the outage may be more insidious.

Erik Prince, the former CEO of Blackwater, stated publicly on the Valuetainment podcast that he believes with 70% certainty that the AT&T outage was the result of a Chinese cyberattack.

“I would predict it was a warning,” he said. “A trial run before they go do more aggressive things on Taiwan.”

Prince went on to say that he expects China to take action against Taiwan on an April/May 2024 timeframe. He believes that the AT&T cyberattack was a warning shot to cause the U.S. government to think twice before interfering in a potential invasion of Taiwan.

The FBI Director recently stated that China is preparing to “wreak havoc” on critical U.S. civilian infrastructure in the event of a conflict. It isn’t a stretch to imagine that China could use a cyberattack like the AT&T outage to send a message.

More concerning than a cell phone outage is the possibility of a major cyberattack on municipal water treatment plants, fuel pipelines, and the power grid.

If you are looking to be ready for whatever may come down the road later in 2024, this would be a good time to stock up on a survivor kit, emergency water filters, and survival food and supplies.
